　　第一步：判斷句子之間的邏輯關(guān)系

　　GRE填空考察的就是整體邏輯語(yǔ)言的能力，考生的任務(wù)就是找出句子成分間的邏輯關(guān)系，并選擇一個(gè)合理且必然的選項。

　　句子成分間的邏輯關(guān)系對解題起著(zhù)至關(guān)重要的作用，它們常常由一些明顯的關(guān)鍵詞提示。

　　最重要的幾種邏輯關(guān)系

　　因果關(guān)系：because, in that, for, therefore, thus, accordingly, consequently, hence, given, so…that, so…as to, when…then, as long as, in order to……

　　轉折關(guān)系：albeit, but, although, despite, however, in spite of, nevertheless, notwithstanding, while, whatever, regardless, even though, even if, yet……

　　對比關(guān)系：in contrast, on the contrary, far from, on the other hand, rather than, instead of, not…but, paradoxically, ironically, surprisingly, unexpectedly……另外還有時(shí)間的不同體現相反的關(guān)系等等

　　第二步：尋找句子內部的重復線(xiàn)索

　　填空題的句子常出現陌生的專(zhuān)業(yè)術(shù)語(yǔ)，晦澀的思想觀(guān)點(diǎn)等，但對解題并不構成真正的障礙。因為題目本身往往提供了足夠的內容的重復線(xiàn)索幫助你找到正確的答案。

　　Melodramas, which presented stark oppositions between innocence and criminality, virtue and corruption, good and evil, were popular precisely because they offered the audience a world _____ of _____.

　　B. composed adversity

　　C. full circumstantiality

　　題目的主干要我們填Melodramas提供給觀(guān)眾一個(gè)怎樣的世界，同時(shí)又告訴我們它們表現了無(wú)辜與罪惡，美德與墮落之間的刻板對立，所以我們不需要知道Melodramas是什么東東就可以判斷它們提供給觀(guān)眾的是一個(gè)刻板對立的世界，五個(gè)選項中只有E選項“全無(wú)中立的世界”表達了這個(gè)意思。

　　這道題粗看起來(lái)內容十分專(zhuān)業(yè)，空格要求填factors 對such illnesses 有什么樣的動(dòng)作。其實(shí)句子中有一個(gè)明確的重復線(xiàn)索，factors 起到了一個(gè)催化劑的作用，所以空格中填入一個(gè)表達催化意思的詞語(yǔ)，就一定是正確選項。表示催化的感覺(jué)的詞只有D項：precipitate

　　第三步：判斷語(yǔ)氣和感情色彩

　　有時(shí)，通過(guò)正常的閱讀去理解句子比較難且費時(shí)間。但是用感情色彩去判斷，處理起來(lái)就變得比較方便。

　　e.g.

　　Johnson never _____ to ignore the standards of decent conduct mandated by company policy if _____ compliance with instructions from his superiors enabled him to do so, whatever the effects on his subordinates.

　　A. designed tacit

　　B. attempted halfhearted

　　句子的意思比較令人費解，但是從句末whatever the effects on his subordinates(不管對他的下級產(chǎn)生怎樣的影響)看，我們知道Johnson做的是一件不好的事情。

　　從第一個(gè)空格看，五個(gè)選項只有D的scrupled填入表達這樣的意思。

　　判斷邏輯關(guān)系，尋找重復關(guān)系，判斷語(yǔ)氣及感情色彩這三步熟練的結合運用，幾乎能解決所有的填空問(wèn)題。

　　模式1：平行結構

　　特征： a,b,c and _______

　　或者a,b,c and never ______

　　解題策略： 第一種情況，空格與前相同，第二種情況，空格與前相反。

　　模式3：remain, continue 模式

　　特征：A remain(或continue) _____

　　解題策略：A直接填入空格

　　模式4：?jiǎn)慰崭衲Ｊ?/p>

　　特征：A____B

　　解題策略：若A=B，則空格填正評價(jià)，正動(dòng)作

　　若A不等于B，則空格填負評價(jià)，負動(dòng)作

　　編者的話(huà)：此模式常常搭配時(shí)間對比，極大提高解題速率。

　　武器級別——M68E1線(xiàn)膛炮北約制式。

　　模式5： 解釋模式

　　特征：_____， 解釋

　　_____， 表解釋的名詞

　　表解釋的部分包括：分詞，不定式短語(yǔ)，介短，定叢，同位語(yǔ)從句，一些修飾成分等。

　　解題策略：解釋部分直接填入空格

　　編者的話(huà)：此模式的好處是不必理解句義，僅限于局部便可解題。

　　武器級別——M143六管MINIGUN

　　模式6：A&B模式

　　特征： A (and ___B ___) | ___C___ | 表示句子分割

　　解題策略： 首先，括號中內容跳讀;

　　其次，直接將A的內容填入C;

　　最后，將C的內容填入B。

　　注意：

　　1. 并列關(guān)系不可以進(jìn)行推倒，比如根據AandB，知道A，推出B與A同義，荒謬!

　　2. and 可以進(jìn)行替換，比如or, as well as, not only but also, etc

　　例題：The results of the experient performed by Elizabeth Hazen and Rachel Brown were____ not only because these results challenged old assumptions but also because they called the _____ methodology into question.

　　ANSWER: provocative...prevailing

　　編者的話(huà)：這個(gè)模式在遇到詞匯較復雜的題的時(shí)候，可以直接不理解句義直接看到重復。

　　武器級別——GBU43/B炸彈之母。

　　模式7：四元素模式

　　特征： A ____C____ | ___D___ B | 表示分割

　　分割的前后分句分別是同一種邏輯關(guān)系，即A與C關(guān)系相同，B與D關(guān)系相同

　　解題策略： 若 A=B， 則空格為同義

　　若 A不等于B，則A填入D空格，B填入C空格

　　注意：�？家环N變體，即 A __C___ | but __D__ B (轉折關(guān)系)

　　則將A或者B其中一個(gè)取反，交叉填入空格

　　例題：Even though in today's Soviet Union the ___ the Muslim clergy have been accorded power and privileges, the Muslim laity and the rank-and-file clergy still have little ____ to practice their religion.

　　ANSWER： leaders of... latitude

　　提示： leaders 與laity 反義， power and privilege 與latitude同義
