Applying for a Bachelor programme

As a prospective first year Bachelor student you can submit a request to be enrolled for one of our Bachelor programmes in Studielink from October 1 onwards.
Please, first, check if you can be admitted to the Bachelor programme of your choice. With the exception of the Bachelor Tourism, fluency in Dutch is a requirement for all our Bachelor programmes.

You can submit a request for registration in Studielink. The payment module will open after May 1. After you have completed the payment module in Studielink, Wageningen University will send you:

The completed and signed payment agreement form (if applicable) and the required documents should be submitted to the Student Service Centre as soon as possible, but no later than August 31. When you fulfill all the enrolment requirements, you will be registered as a student at Wageningen University and you will receive a ‘Proof of Enrolment’.

PLEASE NOTE: Enrolment as a student at Wageningen University is only possible as of September 1, 2016. Enrolment as a student at any other time is only possible in exceptional cases and with permission of the Programme Director and the Head of the Student Service Centre.

三、Can I be admitted to the Bachelor?
You can be admitted to one of our Bachelor programmes, if you have the proper pre-education.
Please note that, with the exception of the Bachelor Tourism, fluency in Dutch is a requirement to be admitted to a Bachelor programme.

To be admitted to one of the Bachelor programmes at Wageningen University you require:
1.A secondary school leaving certificate (equivalent to a Dutch VWO diploma) which gives admission to a university.
2.A list of subjects (taken at the required level) which are relevant to the programme you are applying for. (Most of our bachelor programmes require a high level of mathematics, some also require biology and/or chemistry and/or physics or economics).
3.Fluency in the Dutch language. Students who do not have a Dutch VWO diploma should be in the possession of an NT2-II (Dutch as a second language) certificate. (Except for the Bachelor Tourism.)
4.Fluency in the English language (especially for the Bachelor Tourism).

If the language of instruction during the secondary school education was not English you will require:
1.IELTS test overall grade 6.
2.TOEFL test (TOEFL 80)
3.Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English: pass at grade C.
4.Cambridge First Certificate: pass at grade B/C.
5.Dutch VWO diploma: English.
6.German ‘Abitur’: English at ‘Grundkurs’.
7.Belgium ASO or TSO: 60 for English.
7.International Baccalauréat: 3 for English.

If you have questions about admission to the Bachelor programmes you can send these to the Bachelor Admission Committee.

四、Submitting a Request for Enrolment in Studielink

If you want to start with a Bachelor programme at Wageningen University, submit your request for enrolment via Studielink.
Studielink is the online portal on which you can arrange your enrolment at the Universities or Universities of applied sciences in The Netherlands.
Please visit the website of Studielink to apply for a Bachelor programme at Wageningen University.
在Studielink上提交注冊申請，才能開(kāi)始瓦赫寧根大學(xué)的學(xué)士課程學(xué)習。

1.Start by applying for a studielink account (students who live in the Netherlands require DigiD to apply). Students who are not residing in the Netherlands can apply for a username and password.
2.When you have received your login details you can proceed with entering your personal details.
3.You then proceed with entering an enrollment application .
4.Students not living in the Netherlands should send a copy of their passport (or ID card) to Wageningen University for identification purposes.
5.After May 1st a new task will appear on your 'My to do list' in Studielink: 'Enter your payment details'.
6.After you have completed your application, you will receive:
a.An email from Studielink informing you that your application has been sent to Wageningen University.
b.A letter from Wageningen University with further information.

Please note
Registration via Studielink does not automatically mean that you have been admitted to the bachelor programme nor that you are registered as a student.

Entering your payment details
This task will appear in Studielink after May 1st. When you have received confirmation that you have been admitted to the bachelor programme you can complete this module by stating who will pay your tuition fee and how it will be paid. Please complete this module as soon as possible after May 1.

If you have submitted a request for enrolment or re-enrolment, as of May 1st the task ‘Enter your payment details’ will appear on your 'My to do list' in Studielink. Please fill in your payment details as soon as possible! The final day for payment is August 31.

Non-EU students
Select the country where the bank is located.
Depending on the country you have entered, you will get additional questions or not.

Tip
Students with a NFP or Stuned fellowship, select your home country as the country where the bank is located.
If you do not get additional questions:
1. Tick the declaration box.
2. Click on the green confirmation button.

If you do get additional questions:
1.Always choose ‘Payment via Institution of Higher Education’.
This means that you choose to transfer the tuition fee to the Wageningen University bank account yourself or that someone else will pay your tuition fees (e.g. fellowship granting organisation). It is also possible to pay by debit card (PIN) at the Student desk in the Forum.
2.Indicate whether you are going to pay yourself or if someone else (organisation) will be paying for you.
3.Choose ‘No’ at ‘Payment in instalments’.
4. If asked, fill in the Account holder’s details.
5.Click on the green confirmation button.

EU students
Can choose ‘Payment by Digital Authorisation’ or ‘Payment via Institution of Higher Education’.

Payment by Digital authorisation
With the option Digital Authorisation you can give Wageningen University a mandate for a standard European Direct Debit. Please, read the conditions for payment by direct debit carefully.
Indicate whether you are going to pay yourself or if someone else will be paying for you. Please note, that if someone else is going to pay for you, this person needs to have DigiD.

Please note! Digital authorisation is only possible for account holders with a bank account within the SEPA area. When paying from a non-Dutch bank account, the option ‘Someone else is paying the tuition fees’ will not be available.

2.If asked, fill in the Account holder’s details.
3.Click on the green confirmation button.

Payment via institution of higher education
This means that you choose to transfer the tuition fee to the Wageningen University bank account yourself or that you will have it transferred by another person. It is also possible to pay by debit card (PIN) at the Student desk in the Forum.

2.Choose ‘No’ at ‘Payment in instalments’.

Please note! When transferring the tuition fee or paying it by debit card, the whole amount needs to be paid. It is NOT possible to pay the tuition fee in instalments. Payment in instalments is only possible when choosing the payment method Digital authorisation.

Payment by making use of a 'Proof of Payment of Tuition Fees'
In Studielink, choose as Payment method: ‘Via institution of higher education’.
If you are already enrolled at another institute for higher education in The Netherlands, you may be eligible for exemption of payment of tuition fees. You can ask the other institute for higher education for a Proof of Payment of Tuition fees.

Send this Proof of Payment of Tuition fees to Wageningen University, Antwoordnummer 30, 6700 VB Wageningen (no stamp required). It is also possible to hand in the Proof of Payment of Tuition fees at the Student desk in the Forum.

After submitting your application for (re)enrolment
If you have chosen to pay by digital authorisation, you will NOT receive a payment agreement form. Instead Wageningen University will inform you via Studielink about the amount of tuition fee to be paid. You will then have to confirm the payment in Studielink.
If you have chosen for ‘Via institution of higher education’, Wageningen University will send you a letter. It is important that your correspondence address in Studielink is up-to-date!

When have I paid?
If you have chosen for 'Digital Authorisation', you have fulfilled your obligation to pay the tuition fees after you have confirmed the payment in Studielink.
If you have chosen for ‘Via institution of higher education’ the tuition fee needs to be credited to the account of Wageningen University before we can enrol you. Make sure that Wageningen University receives the tuition fee before August 31.
