2017托�？谡Z(yǔ)Task4答題方法及高分對策
導語(yǔ)：托�？谡Z(yǔ)中的Task 4是所有題目當中的一個(gè)很大的難點(diǎn)，也是托福培訓和托福英語(yǔ)學(xué)習過(guò)程當中的一個(gè)重點(diǎn)。下面舉例分析了托�？谡Z(yǔ)第四部分的答題方法和高分對策，助力大家托福備考!
托�？谡Z(yǔ)中的Task 4的題目涉及的學(xué)術(shù)范圍主要都是與留學(xué)的相關(guān)科目，分為生物、心理學(xué)和市場(chǎng)營(yíng)銷(xiāo)三種類(lèi)型。涵蓋的范圍主要包括生命科學(xué)(Life Science)、社會(huì )科學(xué)(Social Science)、自然科學(xué)(Physical Science)和人文科學(xué)(Humanity)。很多考生在考試當中第四題總是在有限的時(shí)間之內答不完，或者看不懂reading passage，甚至是找不到reading和listening之間的關(guān)聯(lián)，下面我們就來(lái)了解一下第四題的高分答題框架和答題技巧。
首先，在第四題的reading部分呢，我們最重要也是唯一的主旨就是要找到題目中給出的學(xué)術(shù)話(huà)題的definition，Official Guide里面是這樣描述閱讀的意義的：Reading passage broadly defines a term, process, or idea from an academic subject。那么這個(gè)定義我們要怎么找呢，由于托�？荚嚠斨兄挥�45S的閱讀時(shí)間，我們只需要用信號詞尋覓的方法找到擁有定義的那句話(huà)并且吵在草稿紙上就可以了。
經(jīng)常出現的信號詞包括：
……(Definition)is known as ……
……(Definition) is called ……
……(Definition) is often referred to as ……
…… is a form of (Definition)……
…… is a term used to describe (Definition)……
……occurs when (Definition)……
One way……(Definition) is by ……
找到了Definition，接下來(lái)就要進(jìn)入聽(tīng)力的部分了，
第四題其實(shí)也是對未來(lái)的留學(xué)生活當中最有幫助的一道題目，Official Guide里面對聽(tīng)力的描述是An excerpt from a lecture provides examples and specific information to illustrate the term, process, or idea from the reading passage。也就是說(shuō)聽(tīng)力部分是講課當中的一處節選，提供了閱讀部分中對于學(xué)術(shù)話(huà)題定義的舉例說(shuō)明。因此在聽(tīng)力當中，考生只需要聽(tīng)到教授舉出的一個(gè)或兩個(gè)例子并且與閱讀當中的定義做一個(gè)連結就可以了。聽(tīng)力當中的例子基本上都是與我們的生活息息相關(guān)，因此用詞文法較為簡(jiǎn)單，考生不必擔心聽(tīng)不懂的情況。在聽(tīng)懂例子的前提下需要按順序記下事件發(fā)展的關(guān)鍵詞。
聽(tīng)力與閱讀的連結方法有二：
一是點(diǎn)對點(diǎn)的方法，也就是說(shuō)在閱讀和聽(tīng)力的同一句話(huà)里表達同一個(gè)意思，只是用詞不同而已。例如：
Work in isolation from other artists = Kept his work completely private.
Outsider artists must invent their own ways of doing things you notice how unique it is and not at all like traditional art . = It doesn't remind you of anything you’ve ever seen before. It's very much his own.
這兩句話(huà)均出自TPO11，閱讀當中用isolation和unique這些詞來(lái)形容outsider artists的作品風(fēng)格，聽(tīng)力當中又用private和very much his own這些表達方式來(lái)形容Henry Darger的作品，不同的詞組和單詞，但是是一樣的意思。
另外就是點(diǎn)對面的方式，By observing the results, or consequences, of another’s behavior, people tend to imitate the behavior of another when they see that it leads to a desirable consequence---hoping to repeat it for themselves. = The sister starts crying and screaming and mom buys the girl the toy. The little brother is there and he is watching all this. What do you think he is going to start doing when he wants something from Mom? He will probably cry and scream. If the girl was punished to be forbidden to watch her favorite TV program, the boy will not do that next time because the result us undesirable.
TPO 19的這道題在閱讀當中形容social learning定義是人們會(huì )根據觀(guān)察別人所做事情的結果的合意程度來(lái)決定要不要模仿這種做法，而聽(tīng)力當中有舉出了一個(gè)姐弟和媽媽去超市的例子，假設姐姐的哭鬧可以得到想買(mǎi)的玩具，弟弟未來(lái)就會(huì )模仿;假設姐姐沒(méi)有得到玩具，還被限制了看最喜歡的電視節目，弟弟就不會(huì )模仿。
總之，涵蓋了閱讀當中的學(xué)術(shù)定義，和聽(tīng)力當中的舉例詳解說(shuō)明，并且有效地將兩方鏈接起來(lái)，一個(gè)高分的答案就呼之欲出了。學(xué)生在托福英語(yǔ)學(xué)習中一定要經(jīng)過(guò)有效的培訓與多次練習才能夠達到熟能生巧的答題境界。
