　　On Power Failure

　　Recently， every morning when I wake up， I findmy air-conditioner automatically turned off . I didn't understand why at first ， but soon Ilearned that there was a great shortage of electricity supply in our city – my air-conditionerturned off because of a power failure midnight.

　　With the rapidly developing industry and the ever-increasing population， demand forelectricity supply is soaring. Besides， summers in recent years are much hotter than before ，so most working places and households are air-conditioned ， which consumes additionalelectricity.

　　Face with such a hard nut ， we have to find ways to crack it . Above all ， in western areasChina ， there is surplus of electricity supply. So ， cities that are thirsty for electricity mayask for remote help. Then ，when we have electricity ， we should remember to save it . Setyour air-conditioners at 27C and you won't feel less comfortable than when they are at 26C . Infact ， some factories already shift their working hours to avoid the peak time of electricityconsuming. My parents don’t work from Monday to Friday as before – they work form Saturdayto Wednesday and have the following two days off instead. This is also a way out， isn't it?

　　On Opening Psychological Courses

　　Recently, more and more educators and common citizens suggest that universities and colleges open more courses which are helpful for students’ psychological health. Personally, I fully agree with their proposal for the following reasons.

　　On the one hand, the ever-increasing pressure of study at the moment and job-hunting in the future may lead to many psychological problems, such as anxiety, depression and even despair, and the psychological courses open a door for communication and relaxation.On the other hand, such courses can teach students how to regulate feelings and emotions under different situations, which is a good preparation for the future life in the complex society. Finally, these courses also introduce good habits which are conducive to one’s mental and psychological health. To be mature and qualified citizens in the society, students have to do more than study hard.

　　In a word, I warmly welcome the establishment of psychological courses in universities.

　　In my mind, they are good for students’ psychological development.

　　Internet rumors

　　Given is a simple but thought-provoking remark: "it is unbelievable for people to believe what they should not believe: Internet rumors." Obviously, this saying can be naturally associated with the seriousness of rumors: if we intend to have a positive Internet environment, it is advisable to eliminate/refuse rumors.

　　In contemporary society, it has become a trend for individuals to surf the Internet for the information they need. Meanwhile, an increasing number of people find it rather difficult to distinguish the true news from rumors. Searching the Internet, we can notice a great many examples like this: false news, ads and pictures.Then, it is these rumors that lead the public to be cheated, confused and even panic. As a matter of fact, experts in large numbers have come to realize the importance of Internet honesty.

　　As a regular Internet surfer, I am convinced that it is of great necessity for government to punish rumor makers. Accordingly, we should educate, advocate and encourage our friends, classmates and acquaintances to refuse making and spreading rumors. Sparing no efforts to do so, we will witness a hopeful and promising future of Internet life.
