　　學(xué)校以“國家課程第一”為原則，按照國家課程標準實(shí)施教學(xué)計劃，我們秉承著(zhù)“讓學(xué)生在思考、實(shí)踐和創(chuàng )造活動(dòng)中健康成長(cháng)與全面發(fā)展”的教育理念，建設具有平和教育特征的課程體系，形成具有平和教育特色的成長(cháng)課程，雙語(yǔ)課程，拓展課程，實(shí)踐體驗課程。課程類(lèi)型分為基礎型課程，拓展型課程，探究型課程。音樂(lè )、美術(shù)、體育課程為平和學(xué)校小學(xué)部主課程。

　　初中部

　　課程設置

　　按照“國家課程第一”原則，建設實(shí)施具有“平和教育”特征的課程體系，形成了不以分數為唯一目標的多元化評價(jià)機制，其指導思想是：“讓學(xué)生在思考、實(shí)踐和創(chuàng )造活動(dòng)中健康成長(cháng)與全面發(fā)展”，亦已形成了具有平和學(xué)校初中部特色的雙語(yǔ)課程、校本德育課程——成長(cháng)課程、興趣類(lèi)選修課程，拓展類(lèi)限定選修課程、“學(xué)生三院”指導下的社團探究類(lèi)活動(dòng)課程、社會(huì )實(shí)踐課程，培養學(xué)生專(zhuān)長(cháng)發(fā)展的藝術(shù)、體育課程等

　　高中部

　　課程設置

　　三門(mén)核心課程是：

　　知識理論課――Theory of Knowledge，簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng)TOK

　　拓展論文――Extended Essay，簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng)EE

　　創(chuàng )造、活動(dòng)與服務(wù)――Creativity, Action and service即CAS

　　這三門(mén)核心課程是IBO文憑項目課程設置獨特性的集中體現。

　　知識理論課(TOK)是一門(mén)必修的跨學(xué)科課程，目的是培養學(xué)生的判斷與綜合歸納能力，鼓勵學(xué)生對基礎知識進(jìn)行質(zhì)疑，防止主觀(guān)臆斷和思想意識上的偏見(jiàn)，增強學(xué)生以理性基礎進(jìn)行分析和表達的能力。

　　拓展論文(EE)要求學(xué)生結合所學(xué)課程中的某一知識點(diǎn)進(jìn)行獨立的調研，要能寫(xiě)出4000字的文章。這項要求為學(xué)生提供了按自己興趣寫(xiě)作論文的機會(huì )，并使學(xué)生熟悉獨立研究的方法，鍛煉寫(xiě)作技巧。

　　CAS代表創(chuàng )造、行動(dòng)與服務(wù)，鼓勵學(xué)生進(jìn)行創(chuàng )新，提高藝術(shù)修養，進(jìn)行堅持不懈的鍛煉，關(guān)心他人，發(fā)揮與別人合作的精神。
