　　In everyday life, people take for granted that some people are good at things and some people are not. But I have always believed that human beings are capable of far more than they realise. It is this interest in human potential that motivates me to want to work as an Educational Psychologist.

　　I have always had an interest in the human mind, but never considered working in this field. However, personal experience of ADHD and autism led me to volunteer at an autistic unit in a local primary school, which I have now been at for almost two years. Whilst there, I realised that my interest in the Autistic Spectrum and ADHD was more than a passing curiosity. My experience at the school provided me with a deeper understanding of these conditions, and, combined with my interests in educational psychology and technologies such as entrainment and biofeedback, led me to consider the potential application of these to assist such children in reaching their full potential. One day I returned home with a sense of exhiliration, and realised that helping autistic children was something that I wanted to pursue as a professional psychologist.

　　I have also worked voluntarily as a teaching assistant at a local college. My duties included creating certificates, writing course manuals, and supervised teaching. In addition, I was comissioned by the charity DYCF to teach relaxation techniques to "difficult teens" as part of a remedial programme, and wrote a report of recommendation. This demonstrates that I am able to empathise and interact with a variety of people in a range of educational settings, as well as cope with a high workload.

　　I spent some time researching careers in psychology and it was quite clear that Educational Psychology was the route for me. Although I had studied Counselling Skills in --- and DD100: Introduction to the Social Sciences previously with the Open University, it was of course a case of preparing myself for Higher Education. So in 20xx I enrolled on DSE212: Exploring Psychology, with the Open University. My overall assesment score on DD100 had been 81, but of course it has been a while since my last formal academic study. Hence I was pleased to receive my first essay back from the Open University ----, scored at 83, giving much promise for my future studies.

　　At the same time, however, I have worked hard to overcome my difficulty with mathematics. So I enrolled on GCSE Mathematics: Foundation. I recently used accelerated learning protocols such as mnemonics and entrainment to learn my timestables in just under two weeks, and have also enrolled on a second course for extra help. Because of this, I am now confident of achieving a grade C in Mathematics, and believe that this demonstrates my committed and creative approach to learning, as well as my practical application of psychological research.

　　I read psychological articles and reports in New Scientist, Scientific American, and Psychology Today. I also keep up to date by researching psychology online, and have a particular interest in the research of the HeartMath and Monroe Institutes, and the application of their research and technology within education and therapy. My latest read has been Human Givens: a new approach to emotional health and clear thinking, by Joe Griffin and Ivan Tyrrell (20xx).

　　Having a keen analytical mind as well as a deep empathy for working with children, I look forward to continuing my study of Psychology. My ultimate aim is to apply psychological techniques to help the autistic and ADHD populations achieve their full potential, and hopefully add to and expand the current theoretical understanding of these conditions.

　　法國留學(xué)申請誤區解讀

　　一、轉專(zhuān)業(yè)很容易

　　在法國的學(xué)校留學(xué)，沒(méi)有哪一所學(xué)校的畢業(yè)是簡(jiǎn)單的，因為學(xué)校實(shí)行的，都是寬進(jìn)嚴出的政策，如果沒(méi)有達到畢業(yè)的要求，那么大家就只能繼續讀下去。

　　所以大家不要想著(zhù)進(jìn)了公立的大學(xué)，就萬(wàn)事大吉了，還是需要努力學(xué)習，這樣才能夠取得比較好的成績(jì)，并且順利的畢業(yè)，從而完成整個(gè)留學(xué)。

　　三、預科和語(yǔ)言班是一回事

　　幾乎所有申請法國高校的學(xué)生，都需要在正式入學(xué)前，接受一個(gè)緩沖階段的學(xué)習，有可能是語(yǔ)言的培訓，也有可能是專(zhuān)業(yè)的熟悉，這其中就有了預科和語(yǔ)言班的區分。

　　大家要去分清楚他們之間的差異，語(yǔ)言班股民私立是針對語(yǔ)言的培訓;而預科則是專(zhuān)業(yè)的培訓，其中也會(huì )有語(yǔ)言的教學(xué)，但是重心還是放在專(zhuān)業(yè)上。

　　四、選英語(yǔ)授課不需要學(xué)法語(yǔ)

　　英語(yǔ)授課如今在不少法國搞笑的專(zhuān)業(yè)中都有開(kāi)設，但是即便大家選擇了英語(yǔ)的授課，也是不能夠忽視法語(yǔ)的學(xué)習的，因為日常生活還是需要接觸法語(yǔ)的。

　　而且大家脫離了課堂之后，和同學(xué)、教授的交流，還是會(huì )以法語(yǔ)為主，更何況，多學(xué)習一門(mén)語(yǔ)言，對大家的優(yōu)勢是非常大的。

　　法國留學(xué)申請前后期費用清單

　　一、前期申請

　　先要開(kāi)始的是語(yǔ)言的學(xué)習，接受法語(yǔ)的培訓，是需要花不少錢(qián)的，報班學(xué)習和報名考試都需要花錢(qián)，一般學(xué)生從零基礎開(kāi)始學(xué)習，一個(gè)周期的完整學(xué)習，需要2萬(wàn)元左右。

　　準備申請的材料的時(shí)候，要花錢(qián)的地方主要是大家進(jìn)行公證和翻譯的學(xué)術(shù)和成績(jì)材料，一份完整的材料需要1000元左右;之后大家提交正式的留學(xué)申請，手續費需要200元左右。

　　1、謹慎選擇租房渠道

　　租房是大事，所以選擇正規的租房渠道顯得尤為重要!一般從安全系數來(lái)說(shuō)，租住當地的正規的學(xué)生公寓(無(wú)論 公私)和通過(guò)正規的房屋地產(chǎn)中介及正規的房屋租賃網(wǎng)站會(huì )比較好。通過(guò)上網(wǎng)找房就要提高些警惕，尤其是某些論壇渠道或者一些類(lèi)似國內_的網(wǎng)站，出現問(wèn)題的概率相對會(huì )更高。朋友介紹的途徑一般還好，前提就是確定真的是朋友!不管哪種情況，如果遇到看房之前就要求提前打款的，千萬(wàn)別信!

　　3、妥善選擇租房地段

　　在任何一個(gè)城市，都有相對安全和相對不安全的區域。在法國的多數城市來(lái)說(shuō)，租房需要盡可能遠離黑人居住區和阿拉伯人居住區，不可圖便宜，安全第一!此外，為了避免路途中的不安全，選擇離學(xué)校比較近的地段租房，是初到法國的學(xué)生可以考慮的方式。

　　在租房的時(shí)候，要盡可能先確認好房東的身份，留好聯(lián)系方式。有很多情況下，有些網(wǎng)上的租房信息看起來(lái)很誘人，但經(jīng)常會(huì )遭遇二房東，一來(lái)利益和安全沒(méi)有保障，二來(lái)申請房補的時(shí)候也可能遇到問(wèn)題，所以一定要慎重!有小伙伴額外提醒：尤其不要找華人房東或二房東，特別是開(kāi)餐館的中國房東，一般房子條件都比較差，為人比較計較;還有些看起來(lái)很和藹，話(huà)也說(shuō)得天花亂墜，但坑起同胞來(lái)一點(diǎn)兒也不手軟……
