美國留學(xué)申請推薦信是申請文書(shū)當中很重要的一部分，盡管越來(lái)越多的學(xué)校已經(jīng)察覺(jué)到本科的推薦信未必是學(xué)校老師親筆所寫(xiě)，但只要能夠寫(xiě)出亮點(diǎn)和特質(zhì)，還是可以幫助學(xué)生申請到理想的學(xué)校的。我們在寫(xiě)作推薦信的時(shí)候，往往遇到一個(gè)難題，就是客戶(hù)提供的素材，往往不是我們所需要的，要么太空泛，要么毫無(wú)價(jià)值。有一些內容是您務(wù)必要提供給我們的：什么時(shí)間認識的、以何種身份或者關(guān)系認識的、學(xué)生在推薦人所教授的這么課程中表現如何、學(xué)生給你留下的印象是什么、有哪些印象深刻的具體事例等等。
1：填寫(xiě)推薦信調查表的時(shí)候，一定要以老師的口吻來(lái)填寫(xiě)，不要以學(xué)生本人的口吻來(lái)寫(xiě)。
2：一定要有具體的事例來(lái)證明學(xué)生的某種特性，切忌使用一些非�？辗旱男稳菰~。
3：不同老師要從不同側重點(diǎn)來(lái)說(shuō)，比如班主任可以對學(xué)生有個(gè)總體的評價(jià)，介紹學(xué)生各科的綜合表現，并且著(zhù)重介紹學(xué)生參加課外活動(dòng)等方面;文科老師則主要反映學(xué)生的溝通和表達能力;理科老師主要介紹學(xué)生的邏輯分析能力，獨立思考能力和運算能力等方面。
如果你早就決定出國學(xué)習，而且專(zhuān)業(yè)方向定下的話(huà)，在你幫助一位教授完成一個(gè)項目而你的表現也不錯的時(shí)候，及時(shí)地請教授寫(xiě)一封推薦信當然是最好了�；蛘呤悄闵暾埥逃龑W(xué)，而又剛剛在一所中學(xué)做了兩個(gè)月的實(shí)習教師，為什么不馬上請該校的校長(cháng)或教導主任給你寫(xiě)一封推薦信呢?這樣至少能保證到申請時(shí)推薦人不會(huì )忘了你做過(guò)什么。如果你已經(jīng)著(zhù)手申請，至少要提前一兩個(gè)月和教授打招呼，給教授留充足的時(shí)間為你寫(xiě)推薦信，無(wú)論對于你趕申請期限，還是減輕推薦人壓力都是很有利的。
爭取在推薦人著(zhù)手寫(xiě)推薦信之前和推薦人詳談一次，哪怕只有10分鐘，主要談?wù)勛约旱膶W(xué)業(yè)成績(jì)和自己的目標，申請專(zhuān)業(yè)和方向。同時(shí)最好提供一份自己的詳細簡(jiǎn)歷，當然，如果你的自述信已經(jīng)成稿或有草稿的話(huà)，可以一并提供。這樣便既可以使推薦人在推薦你時(shí)有的放矢，針對你申請的課程推薦，又可以避免推薦信過(guò)于泛泛而無(wú)實(shí)例的弊端。

In September, 2004, Miss Zhang was my students in General Biology, the first professional course they take in the field. She likes it very much. I teach her in an open and interactive manner, she is active and passionate about answering class questions. Miss Zhang is bright, energetic and enthusiastic girl who loves speaking out her own ideas. She never escapes from those points of which she is skeptical. Apart from that, she often puts forward her ideas upon questions and exchanges all of her innovate ideas with me after class.

I am pleased to write this letter for my former student Miss Nan Li, who graduated from this College with an L.B. degree in June 1978.Miss Li was admitted to the Department of Law of this College in 1974 through highly competitive entrance examination which is conducted annually and is open to the whole nation. Even in such a selective group. Miss Li made herself distinguished. As professor and dean of the College, I have access to her records of academic work and moral conduct, In her fourth year study, I instructed her in Anglo-American Laws on Trespass. So I have known her quite well. Miss Li's performance, like that in many other courses she taken, was excellent with a superior grade of 86 for the first semester, and 84 for the second semester. In our university and in other university here, 80 is considered "A" , the highest level. As far as I know, Miss Li wishes to continue her study in Law for an advanced
