工作經(jīng)驗 Work Experience
相關(guān)的工作經(jīng)驗可以為你在面試時(shí)贏(yíng)得不少加分。有人可能會(huì )問(wèn)，大學(xué)生剛畢業(yè)哪來(lái)的經(jīng)驗？注意了，假期短期工作和實(shí)習都是很好的經(jīng)驗來(lái)源，只要你夠勤快，工作經(jīng)驗并不難找。閑話(huà)少說(shuō)，我們來(lái)看看 Sam 和 Ann在面試時(shí)是怎樣處理工作經(jīng)驗這部分的。
Dialogue 1
Snow: Have you got any experience in advertising?
Sam: Yes, I have been working in the Public Relations Section of a company for the past two years. I plan the advertising campaigns and cooperate with artists and a typographer. Sometimes I have to do the work of a specialist when there's something urgent.
Snow: Have you had any experience with computers?
Sam: Yes, I studied in a computer-training program, and can process data through the computer.
Snow: That's fine. What about operating the fax and duplicators?
Sam: I can handle them without any trouble.
Snow: How often do you work overtime?
Sam: I worked overtime several times a month.
Notes:
1. 對話(huà)中Sam在一家廣告公司進(jìn)行面試，Have you got any experience in advertising? 你有沒(méi)有廣告方面的從業(yè)經(jīng)驗？experience in / with something，某個(gè)方面的經(jīng)驗。
2. 這時(shí)候你就可以把自己的工作經(jīng)驗告訴考官，當然不要面面俱到，一定要挑跟你面試的工作緊密相關(guān)的方面來(lái)說(shuō)，其它的可以不說(shuō)或者一句話(huà)帶過(guò)。這就要求你在面試之前想好怎樣來(lái)條理清晰地陳述你的工作經(jīng)驗，甚至還可以先打個(gè)草稿，為的就是做到心中有數。
3. 這里你可以順便提一下你的一些工作技能，比如，電腦操作等等。process data through the computer，用電腦處理各種數據。operating the fax and duplicators，操作傳真機和打印機。handle這個(gè)詞也很常用，指“處理，操作”。例如：I think I can handle it. 這件事我可以做好。
4. work overtime，加班，overtime這里做副詞，表示“超時(shí)地”，overtime也可以做名詞be on overtime，也表示“加班”。

Watt: Do you have any sales experience?
Ann: Yes, I worked in a fashion shop as a part-time salesgirl.
Watt: What kind of work are you doing now?
Ann: I'm working as an export sales staff member for a foreign trading company.
Watt: Where are you working?
Ann: I work at Lianfu Foreign Trade Company，Ltd.
Watt: How long have you been working there？
Ann: I have been working there since I left my previous employer in 1996.
Watt: How many employers have you worked for?
Ann: Three.
Watt: What work were you responsible for at your previous work unit？
Ann: I was responsible for advertising design.
Notes:
1. Do you have any sales experience? 你有銷(xiāo)售經(jīng)驗嗎？這也是詢(xún)問(wèn)工作經(jīng)驗的一個(gè)常用句式。work as 是"做什么樣的工作"，例如：I worked as a tutor after school. 放學(xué)后我就去做家教。
2. What kind of work are you doing now? 你現在在做什么工作？Ann回答說(shuō)在一家外貿公司做銷(xiāo)售人員�？脊儆謫�(wèn)是什么公司，Where are you working? 這可不是問(wèn)公司的地址，而是問(wèn)公司的`名稱(chēng)。
3. How long have you been working there？你在那工作多久了？這里用的是現在完成進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)，表示從過(guò)去到現在一直做某事，從來(lái)沒(méi)有間斷過(guò)。How many employers have you worked for? 你為幾個(gè)雇主工作過(guò)？其實(shí)也就是問(wèn)你換過(guò)幾個(gè)工作了。
4. What work were you responsible for at your previous work unit？你在以前工作的部門(mén)具體負責什么工作？be responsible for something，負責某事，也就是做某項工作。previous work unit，以前的工作部門(mén)。
5. 一般這樣的問(wèn)題據實(shí)回答就可以了，除非考官對你某方面的工作經(jīng)驗感興趣，否則不要自己說(shuō)起來(lái)沒(méi)完，要學(xué)會(huì )見(jiàn)機行事。
