1、吃火雞
感恩節最著(zhù)名的習俗就是這吃火雞了，在感恩節當天，幾乎每家都會(huì )做自己的火雞，這個(gè)過(guò)程不僅是為了紀念節日，也可以與家人一起互動(dòng)，你來(lái)我往，彼此做著(zhù)自己喜歡的食物，這個(gè)過(guò)程其實(shí)就是感恩節想要傳遞的，當然除了吃火雞外，感恩節還有許多常見(jiàn)的食物搭配，例如西葫蘆、奶油洋蔥、土豆泥、番瓜派等等。
2、蔓越桔競賽
在感恩節那一天，有些人還會(huì )舉行一些游戲活動(dòng)，其中最出名的就是這蔓越桔競賽。這個(gè)游戲很簡(jiǎn)單，就是把一個(gè)裝有蔓越桔的大碗放在地上，然后一群人開(kāi)始圍坐在碗的周邊，然后再給每個(gè)人發(fā)一根線(xiàn)，等待比賽的開(kāi)始。在比賽過(guò)程里面，他們會(huì )先穿針線(xiàn)，然后把蔓越桔一個(gè)個(gè)串起來(lái)，當然一般會(huì )用時(shí)間去限制，等時(shí)間結束時(shí)，誰(shuí)的針串得最長(cháng)，那么誰(shuí)就是獲勝者，并給予一定的獎勵。
3、郊游
在美國，感恩節不是坐在家里團聚就好的，有些人會(huì )開(kāi)車(chē)出去游玩，或者干脆出國旅行，其實(shí)感恩節就是一個(gè)玩樂(lè )的日子，大家都會(huì )在這一天徹底放松，因為是全國性節日，因此假期還是有的，大家可以趁機出去玩樂(lè )放松一下。
