英文簡(jiǎn)歷有何亮點(diǎn)
從上面兩點(diǎn)可以得出，其實(shí)英文簡(jiǎn)歷的制作是有前提的，這個(gè)前提是制作的標準;此類(lèi)標準又可以概括成英文簡(jiǎn)歷制作的建議：
(1)Never market yourself as a“superman”. (千萬(wàn)別把你自己包裝成超人)很多求職者因性格保守而不敢嘗試非傳統的求職方式(比如和面試官的丈母娘搞好關(guān)系等)，但他們在鼓吹自己“無(wú)所不能”(capable of everything)時(shí)卻毫不吝惜筆墨，不惜夸大自己的管理、協(xié)調、規劃和領(lǐng)導力才能(talents and skills in management, coordination, planning and leadership)。事實(shí)上，不是誰(shuí)都能成為職場(chǎng)“萬(wàn)金油”(jack-of-all-trades)，太多的空話(huà)(big words)會(huì )影響簡(jiǎn)歷的可信度(credibility),讓你得不償失。
(2)Make your CV concise but not simple. (簡(jiǎn)歷要簡(jiǎn)潔但不簡(jiǎn)陋)很多人認為簡(jiǎn)歷的最佳長(cháng)度是一頁(yè)紙，但這并不是百分之百正確(this is not a 100% rule).如果你在很多領(lǐng)域擁有豐富的工作經(jīng)驗，而且對你申請這份工作很有幫助，那就別吝于在簡(jiǎn)歷中提供充足的信息。不要提供一份列出之前任職公司、職位和服務(wù)年限的“流水清單”(a laundry list of company name, job title and service length)，就為了把所有內容壓縮到一頁(yè)紙以?xún)�，那不值得。你的�?jiǎn)歷應該文風(fēng)簡(jiǎn)潔，但內容并不簡(jiǎn)陋(make your CV concise in language, but not simple and weak in contents)——把身高一米八的高個(gè)兒模特塞進(jìn)童裝里，這并不舒服，不是嗎?(it won’t be comfortable to put a 180cm-tall model into a children’s wear)
(3)Give up the time order when necessary. (勇于放棄時(shí)間順序)按時(shí)間順序敘述在簡(jiǎn)歷寫(xiě)作中很常見(jiàn)，但有時(shí)你需要打破常規(break the rules)。例如，一名工程專(zhuān)業(yè)畢業(yè)生(an engineer-majored student)希望申請英語(yǔ)教師職位(a position of English teacher)，那么在英語(yǔ)教學(xué)方面的實(shí)習或兼職經(jīng)歷(intern/part-time experience in English teaching)以及各類(lèi)英語(yǔ)證書(shū)和獎項(English-related certification and prizes)就必須放在簡(jiǎn)歷的.最前面，而教育背景和其他信息(education background and other information)都可以放在后面。有時(shí)候這個(gè)小把戲能讓你的簡(jiǎn)歷避免被丟入廢紙簍的命運。(Sometimes the small trick could save your CV from the fate of litter bin.)
(4)Optimize your CV with key words for web searching.(利用網(wǎng)頁(yè)搜索關(guān)鍵詞優(yōu)化簡(jiǎn)歷)如果HR用“高級項目經(jīng)理”(senior project manager)作為關(guān)鍵詞在線(xiàn)搜索合適的候選人(right candidate)，他可能會(huì )鍵入以下關(guān)鍵詞：五年項目工作經(jīng)驗(five-year project experience);本科學(xué)歷(BA degree);英文流利(fluent English)。為了讓你的簡(jiǎn)歷在搜索首頁(yè)名列前茅(appear on the top of searching list),你最好在簡(jiǎn)歷開(kāi)頭部分總結自身優(yōu)勢(summarize your strength in the beginning of CV)，提供項目實(shí)施細節(project implementation details)和你在其中扮演的角色(your roles in it)，別忘了標亮“關(guān)鍵詞”(highlight the keywords)，因為大部分HR只會(huì )花15秒去瀏覽一份簡(jiǎn)歷。
(5)Customize your CV for different jobs. (根據不同職位量身定制簡(jiǎn)歷)世上沒(méi)有能治愈所有疾病的萬(wàn)靈丹(a cure-all medicine)，同理，以不變應萬(wàn)變的簡(jiǎn)歷(an all-purpose CV)并不存在。針對不同職位的需求量身修改你的簡(jiǎn)歷，別偷懶!(Don’t be lazy)。
