The little girl was sitting in her grandfather's lap as he read her a story. From time to time, she would take her eyes’ off the book and reach up to touch his wrinkled cheek. By and by she was alternately stroking her own cheek, then his again.
小女孩坐在祖父的膝上讀故事。她時(shí)不時(shí)的從書(shū)上轉移視線(xiàn)抬起頭來(lái)碰到他褶皺的臉。隨后她摸摸自己的臉頰又回去摸摸祖父的。
Finally she spoke, "Granddaddy, did God make you?"
最后她問(wèn)：“爺爺，是上帝創(chuàng )造的你嗎？”
"Yes, sweetheart" he answered, "God made me a long time ago."
“是啊，甜心�！彼卮鸬溃骸吧系酆芫们皠�(chuàng )造出了我�！�
"Oh" she said, then "Granddaddy, did God make me too?"
“喔�！彼卮�。接著(zhù)又問(wèn)道：“爺爺，上帝也創(chuàng )造了我嗎？”
"Yes, indeed honey" he assured her. "God made you just a little while ago."
“是啊，當然了寶貝�！彼蛩ＷC：“上帝只是不久前創(chuàng )造的你�！�
"Oh" she said. Feeling their respective faces again, she observed, "God's getting better at it now isn't he?"
“喔�！彼卮�。又分別感受了兩人的'臉頰，邊觀(guān)察邊說(shuō)：“上帝的技術(shù)越來(lái)越好了，是不？”

Two young boys were spending the night at their grandparents' house. At bedtime, the two boys knelt beside their beds to say their prayers, when the younger one began praying at the top of his lungs: "I pray for a bicycle. I pray for a new toy."

To which the little brother replied, "No, but Grandma is!"

Mark’s favorite cup is broken, and he feels unhappy. Susan sees and asks him, “ You look sad. What’s the matter?”
Mark says, “There is something wrong with my cup.”
Susan says, “Don’t worry. I can repair it.”
Mark feels surprised and asks, “Repair? You can repair it? You?”
“Yes. Believe me! Where is it?” Susan answers.
“Here. My cup is broken. Are you sure you can repair it?” Mark takes out his cuo.
馬克最喜歡的杯子了，他很不開(kāi)心。蘇珊看見(jiàn)了就問(wèn)他：“你看上去不太開(kāi)心。怎么了？”
蘇珊說(shuō)：“別擔心。我會(huì )補好它的�！�
馬克聽(tīng)了感到奇怪，就問(wèn)她：“補？你會(huì )補？真的嗎？”
“沒(méi)錯。相信我。在哪里呢？”蘇珊說(shuō)。
“這兒。我的cup破了。你確信補好它嗎？”馬克拿出了杯子。
“cup？ 你以為是cap.”蘇珊說(shuō)道。說(shuō)完他倆都笑了。
