散文海上日出英譯賞析

　　為了看日出，我常常早起。那時(shí)天還沒(méi)有大亮，周?chē)�非常清靜，船上只有機器的響聲。

　　I would often get up early to watch the sunrise when it was not yet quite light and all was quiet except for the droning of the ship engine.

　　要點(diǎn)：

　　本段重點(diǎn)在于合譯，譯者增用 了when, and, except for幾個(gè)連接詞 ，把漢語(yǔ)表達的意思串聯(lián)了起來(lái),表達的邏輯之美由此而生 。

　　天空還是一片淺藍，顏色很淺。轉眼間天邊出現了一道紅霞，慢慢地在擴大它的范圍，加強它的亮光。我知道太陽(yáng)要從天邊升起來(lái)了，便不轉眼地望著(zhù)那里。

　　The sky was pale with a bluish hue. Soon a streak of pink dawn broke over the horizon，expanding gradually and becoming brighter and brighter. Knowing that the sun was about to rise, I had my eyes fixed on the distant edge of the sea.

　　要點(diǎn)：

　　1，“還沒(méi)有大亮”=be not quite light，在《看月》中，有個(gè)“沒(méi)有‘斷黑’”= is not yet quite dark，“大亮”“斷黑”都是程度副詞+形容詞的結構，通常用quiet+adj結構

　　2，“機器的響聲”譯為the droning of the ship engine.。“機器”這里指輪船上的steam engine,即蒸汽發(fā)動(dòng)機，不宜譯為macine.另外“響聲”譯為droning,表示機器的單調低沉的嗡嗡響聲，較單純的sound更有形象感

　　3，“淺藍”=bluish，意為“帶點(diǎn)藍的，淺藍色的”， -ish這個(gè)后綴表示”帶…性質(zhì)的，稍…的“，在《離別》和《杜鵑》中，我們也見(jiàn)到過(guò)此類(lèi)構詞法，這類(lèi)表示顏色的詞大家要注意，因為文學(xué)作品中出于細節刻畫(huà)的需要，會(huì )將顏色描寫(xiě)得十分具體，翻譯時(shí)也要注重選詞的準確和美感哦~

　　4，“天邊”是指海天交接之處，即“地平線(xiàn)”，譯為the horizon，之后的“那里”文中處理為the distant edge of the sea,避免了重復

　　5，“一道紅霞”也可譯為a streak of rosy dawn或a rosy streak of dawn

　　果然過(guò)了一會(huì )兒，在那個(gè)地方出現了太陽(yáng)的小半邊臉，紅是真紅，卻沒(méi)有亮光。這個(gè)太陽(yáng)好像負著(zhù)重荷似的一步一步、慢慢地努力上升，到了最后，終于沖破了云霞，完全跳出了海面，顏色紅得非�？蓯�(ài)。一剎那間，這個(gè)深紅的圓東西，忽然發(fā)出了奪目的亮光，射得人眼睛發(fā)痛，它旁邊的云片也突然有了光彩。

　　As expected, the sun soon appeared revealing half of its face, which was very red but not bright. It kept rising laboriously bit by bit as if weighted down with a heavy burden on its back until，after breaking through the rosy clouds ;it completely emerged from the sea aglow with a lovely red. Then，before I knew it, the dark red orb began to shine blazingly, dazzling my eyes until they stung and all of a sudden lighting up the surrounding cloud.

　　要點(diǎn)：

　　1，“這個(gè)太陽(yáng)好像負著(zhù)重荷似的一步一步、慢慢地努力上升…”譯為It kept rising laboriously bit by bit as if weighted down with a heavy burden on its back…其中laboriously 包含“慢慢地”和“努力”兩重意義，它還是 一個(gè)多音節詞 ，有意 地延 長(cháng) 閱讀 的時(shí)間 ， 讓 讀者在 閱讀 中真切 地感 受 日出的緩 慢過(guò)程，本句用了擬人手法，而譯文的laboriously，weighted down with等詞，也很好地表現了原文的修辭意

　　2，“一剎那間，這個(gè)深紅的圓東西…”譯為before I knew it, the dark red orb…，其中before I know it (或before I know where I was,before I was aware of it)在此意為“一剎那間”,此處譯者并沒(méi)有譯為in the twinkling of an eye,或者soon

　　3，“圓東西”譯為orb，較round thing更加形象~

　　4，“顏色紅得非�？蓯�(ài)”即“發(fā)出可愛(ài)的紅光”譯為be aglow with a lovely red,aglow意為“發(fā)亮的，發(fā)紅的”

　　5，”射得人眼睛發(fā)痛“譯為dazzling my eyes until they stung,其中until在此意為”以至于…”

　　6,” 它旁邊的云片也突然有了光彩”為了避免再起一句，譯者轉換了主語(yǔ)與前句進(jìn)行了合譯，原文中幾個(gè)小分句都圍繞著(zhù)“ 深紅的圓東西” 這個(gè) 中心點(diǎn)，因此在翻譯時(shí)，把 它作為主語(yǔ) ， 再運用 兩個(gè)并 列 的現在 分詞短語(yǔ) 把 語(yǔ) 意融 合 在一 起 ，結 構緊湊 、 意思連貫 ， 同時(shí)也符合 英語(yǔ) “ 頭輕 尾重 ” 的表達習慣

　　有時(shí)太陽(yáng)走進(jìn)了云堆中，它的光線(xiàn)卻從云里射下來(lái)，直射到水面上。這時(shí)候要分辨出哪里是水，哪里是天，倒也不容易，因為我就只看見(jiàn)一片燦爛的亮光。

　　Sometimes，hidden by the clouds, the sun nonetheless shed its rays straight onto the sea water, making it difficult for me to distinguish between the sky and the sea because what I saw in front of me was nothing but a wide expanse of brilliant light.

　　要點(diǎn)：

　　1，“有時(shí)太陽(yáng)走進(jìn)了云堆中”此處譯者為了與下文照應，采用了主動(dòng)轉被動(dòng)的手法~此句也可以理解為以“太陽(yáng)”為主語(yǔ)的多動(dòng)詞句，“射出光線(xiàn)”為主要動(dòng)詞，“走進(jìn)云堆”是次要動(dòng)詞，譯為過(guò)去分詞形式，至于句首~

　　2，”射到水面上“譯為shed rays onto the sea，其中shed 此處意為”灑“

　　3，此句 譯 文 中有 3處 使 用 了 頭 韻 ： sun/ shed / straight /seawater 、 difficult和distinguish、 s k y 和 s e a 。體現了散文的美感，讀起來(lái)也是朗朗上口滴~

　　4，the sun nonetheless shed its rays straight onto the sea water中 ， 將 原 文 “ 光線(xiàn)從云里射 下來(lái) ”“ 直射到水面上 ” 兩個(gè)動(dòng)作合譯，讀起來(lái)一氣呵成，流暢自然~后面直接用making連接兩個(gè)句子，也體現了原文的簡(jiǎn)潔

　　有時(shí)天邊有黑云，而且云片很厚，太陽(yáng)出來(lái)，人眼還看不見(jiàn)。然而太陽(yáng)在黑云里放射的光芒，透過(guò)黑云的重圍，替黑云鑲了一道發(fā)光的金邊。后來(lái)太陽(yáng)才慢慢地沖出重圍，出現在天空，甚至把黑云也染成了紫色或者紅色。這時(shí)候發(fā)亮的不僅是太陽(yáng)、云和海水，連我自己也成了明亮的了。這不是很偉大的奇觀(guān)么?

　　Sometimes, with thick layers of dark clouds hanging in the sky, the sun was hardly visible to the naked eye. But its radiance managed to show through the dark clouds to edge them with golden lace. Then, after gradually breaking through the tight encirclement, it came into full view and even dyed the dark clouds purple or scarlet. At the moment, apart from the sun，the clouds and the seawater, I too was luminous.Wasn't that a marvelous spectacle?

　　2，“透過(guò)黑云”此處譯為managed to show through the dark clouds，用penetrate也可以，從上文的emerge到這里的manage to do，譯者運用大量人性化的動(dòng)詞，將原文的“擬人化”的手法表現得淋漓盡致~

　　3，scarlet(緋紅，猩紅)，本段乃至全文對于顏色的描寫(xiě)都非常細致，值得借鑒和總結~

　　4，“這時(shí)候發(fā)亮的不僅是太陽(yáng)、云和海水，連我自己也成了明亮的了。”譯為At the moment, apart from the sun，the clouds and the seawater, I too was luminous. 是作者借景抒情，不知不覺(jué)地融入到自然環(huán)境當中 ，情和景 在此刻完全交融在一起了。” 譯者刻意調整句子重心，將這種 遞進(jìn)關(guān)系傳神地傳達給了讀者 ，主次分明，突出此時(shí)此“ 我 ” 的融情于景 。
