Practice Interviewing 練習面試
Talking on the phone isn't as easy as it seems. I've always found it's helpful to practice. Have a friend or family member conduct a mock interview and tape record it so you can see how you sound over the phone. Any cassette recorder will work. You'll be able to hear your "ums" and "uhs" and "okays" and you can practice reducing them from your conversational speech. Also rehearse answers to those typical questions you'll be asked.

During the Phone Interview 電話(huà)面試時(shí)
* Don't smoke, chew gum, eat, or drink.

* Do keep a glass of water handy, in case you need to wet your mouth.

* Smile. Smiling will project a positive image to the listener and will change the tone of your voice.
微笑。微笑給聽(tīng)者傳遞一個(gè)積極的形象；而且微笑能改變你的聲調。
* Speak slowly and enunciate clearly.
語(yǔ)速放慢、發(fā)音清晰。
* Use the person's title （Mr. or Ms. and their last name.） Only use a first name if they ask you to.用對方的頭銜或是某某先生、某某女士稱(chēng)呼對方，只有他們要求時(shí)，才可直呼其名。
* Don't interrupt the interviewer.
不要打斷面試官。
* Take your time - it's perfectly acceptable to take a moment or two to collect your thoughts.
不急不躁——花時(shí)間考慮好是完全可以接受的。
* Give short answers.
回答要簡(jiǎn)短。
* Remember your goal is to set-up a face-to-face interview. After you thank the interviewer ask if it would be possible to meet in person.
記著(zhù)，你的目的是爭取一次當面面試的機會(huì )。在答謝面試官后問(wèn)問(wèn)是否可能當面面試。
After the Interview 電話(huà)面試后
* Take notes about what you were asked and how you answered.
記錄下被問(wèn)及的問(wèn)題和你的回答。
* Remember to say "thank you." Follow with a thank you note which reiterates your interest in the job.
記得說(shuō)“謝謝”。寄一封感謝信來(lái)重申自己對工作的興趣。
