　　提供。公司提供工作職位給學(xué)生就是offer a job。國外大學(xué)提供獎學(xué)金即：offer scholarship。所以大家一般稱(chēng)國外大學(xué)的全額獎學(xué)金為offer。

　　試卷。期中考試有mid-term paper，期末有term paper。因此，如果提到The paper was not as easy as we hope. 就是考試卷子沒(méi)有想象得那么容易之意了。

　　書(shū)面。與paper test 書(shū)面考試(筆試)相對的就是oral test(口試)。固定搭配on paper也即表示"以書(shū)面形式"。

　　平裝。a paper back book / paperback edition平裝書(shū)，與hard back book / hard cover精裝書(shū)相對。聽(tīng)力中會(huì )出現的情形是，在促銷(xiāo)(on sale)期間，平裝書(shū)和精裝書(shū)一樣的價(jià)格，這個(gè)時(shí)候大家當然會(huì )更愿意選擇精裝書(shū)了。

　　修改，潤色。對論文，對求職簡(jiǎn)歷。

　　laundry

　　該詞本意是指洗衣店。但是在聽(tīng)力中，會(huì )用來(lái)借指洗衣服的工作。
