接聽(tīng)電話(huà)禮儀英語(yǔ)
以自我介紹開(kāi)始電話(huà)交談：“Hello，this is Peter Jones. 如果你在接電話(huà)的時(shí)候對方?jīng)]有表明他是誰(shuí)，你可以說(shuō)：“May I ask who's calling，please?”
Asking for someone / Making a request
如果你打電話(huà)給特定的某個(gè)人的話(huà)，那么你得用禮貌的問(wèn)句來(lái)表達意圖，例如“May I speak to Rachel Smith， please?”當你只知道分機號碼卻不知道人名的時(shí)候你可以說(shuō)：“Could I have extension number 635?”但如果打電話(huà)是有特定的目的，那最好是這么說(shuō)：“I'm calling to make a reservation.”
Holding and transferring
“Please hold”是電話(huà)語(yǔ)言中表示“等一下”。當你需要transferred(轉接)到另一部分機，你常會(huì )聽(tīng)到：“Connecting your call…”或者“Please hold，I'll transfer you.”。如果你是在繁忙時(shí)段撥打某公司電話(huà)的話(huà)，你可能會(huì )聽(tīng)到簡(jiǎn)短的一句話(huà)，“Hello，please hold!”在接線(xiàn)員將你轉到另一條線(xiàn)之前。
Leaving a message
當你打電話(huà)的`對象不在或不能接聽(tīng)電話(huà)時(shí)，準備好留言。你可以使用voicemail(電子錄音系統)或一部answering machine(在磁帶上錄音的一種機器)。如果你正和接線(xiàn)員講話(huà)的話(huà)，他們會(huì )問(wèn)：“Would you like to leave a message?”或者你可以說(shuō)，“May I leave a message?如果想要對方回電話(huà)的話(huà)，千萬(wàn)別忘了留你的電話(huà)號碼。這被稱(chēng)作call back number.
Asking the speaker to slow down
如果你不確定你能聽(tīng)懂所有的英語(yǔ)對話(huà)，一定要坦誠。直接告訴對方：“My English isn't very strong，could you please speak slowly?”大部分的人會(huì )贊許你的誠實(shí)并很高興這么做。
Write it down
常用短語(yǔ)：
1. 介紹自己，可以說(shuō)：
�、� This is ... (speaking).
�、� This is 7863469.
�、� ... is here. 千萬(wàn)不能說(shuō) I'm ...
2. 詢(xún)問(wèn)對方是誰(shuí)，可以問(wèn)：
�、� Who's that?
�、� Who's speaking (calling), please? 千萬(wàn)不能問(wèn) Who are you?
3. 詢(xún)問(wèn)對方是不是某人，應問(wèn)：
Is that ...? 或 Is that ... speaking (calling)? 絕對不能問(wèn) Are you ...?
4. 通話(huà)時(shí)，有重要的事情要處理，不得不中斷通話(huà)，要有禮貌地請對方稍等，可以說(shuō)：
�、� Hold on, please.
�、� Just a moment, please.
�、� Wait a minute, please.
5. 通話(huà)時(shí)，應說(shuō)明打電話(huà)的意圖或征求對方的意見(jiàn)，可以說(shuō)：
�、� I'm calling to tell you ...
�、� I'm calling to ask you ...
6. 打電話(huà)時(shí)，撥錯了電話(huà)號碼，應說(shuō)：Sorry, wrong number.

1. I've really got to go, I'll get back to you when I get the office.
我真的得走了，我進(jìn)辦公室再打給你。
2. Sorry, I must end the conversation. There's someone on the other line.

3. Sorry, I've got to hang up. My wife's waiting for me.
