Listen to the tape then answer this question.Can the mechanics repair Mr. Wood's car?

Mr Wood: Is my car ready yet?
伍德先生：我的汽車(chē)修好了嗎?
Attendant: I don’t know, sir. What’s the licence number of your car?
服 務(wù) 員：我不知道，先生。您的汽車(chē)牌號是多少?
Mr Wood: It’s LFZ 312 G.
伍德先生：是 LFZ312G。
Attendant: When did you bring it to us?
服 務(wù) 員：您什么時(shí)候送來(lái)的?
Mr Wood: I brought it here three days ago.
伍德先生：3天前。
Attendant: Ah yes, I remember now.
服 務(wù) 員：啊，是的，我現在記起來(lái)了。
Mr Wood: Have your mechanics finished yet?
伍德先生：你們的機械師修好了嗎?
Attendant: No, they’re still working on it. Let’s go into the garage and have a look at it.

Attendant: Isn’t that your car?
服 務(wù) 員：這難道不是您的車(chē)嗎?
Mr Wood: Well, it was my car.

Attendant: Didn’t you have a crash?

Mr Wood: That’s right. I drove it into a lamp post. Can your mechanics repair it?

Attendant: Well, they’re trying to repair it, sir. But to tell you the truth, you need a new car.

well造感嘆詞。在這里表示“哎”。was用斜體.表示‘過(guò)去是，現在不是了”。was要重讀。
3 drive into是‘撞倒...‘的意思。
4 they're trying to repair it.他們正在設法修理。try 后面常接to+動(dòng)詞不定式。

1.When did you bring it to us? 您什么時(shí)候送來(lái)的?
bring表示“送來(lái)”、“帶來(lái)”和“拿來(lái)”的意思，在方位上多指朝說(shuō)話(huà)人而來(lái)。
2.…they're still working on it. …他們還在修呢。
work on 表示“從事”、“干”(某事)。 still是“仍然”、“還在”的意思，此處在句中對 working on it起了強調的作用。
3.have a look at it, 看一下。
這里的 it指 car，以避免重復。這里的 look是名詞，have a look at與 look at意思是一樣的。
4.Isn't that your car? 這難道不是您的`車(chē)嗎?
Didn't you have a crash? 難道您沒(méi)有出車(chē)禍嗎?
在英文中可以用一般疑問(wèn)句的否定形式來(lái)表示期待、請求或希望得到肯定的答復。

現在完成時(shí)的疑問(wèn)式及否定式
現在完成時(shí)的構成是 have/has+ 過(guò)去分詞，因此其疑問(wèn)式是將have/has提到主語(yǔ)之前，否定式則在have/has后加上not即可如：
Have they lived here for 10 years ?
他們在這兒住了10年了嗎?
No，they haven’t lived here for 10 years
沒(méi)有，他們在這兒沒(méi)有住了10年。
How long have they lived here?
他們在這兒住了多久?
They’ve lived here only for 5 years.
他們在這兒僅住了5年。
Has she left the office ?
她離開(kāi)辦公室了嗎?
No,she hasn’t left the office yet.
沒(méi)有，她還沒(méi)有離開(kāi)辦公室。
What have they just done?
他們剛干了什么事情?
They have just made their beds.
他們剛鋪好床。

(1)修理;修復;修補：
I'll have to get the bicycle repaired.
我得請人把自行車(chē)修理一下。
She looked into the mirror and began to repair her face.

How can I repair the mistake I have made?
我如何才能彌補我所犯的錯誤呢?
It will take a while to repair the confidence of the general public.

2.try v.
(1)試圖;設法，努力：
They tried hard to repair the damaged car.
他們竭盡全力修理那輛被損壞了的汽車(chē)。
He is trying to move the book shelf.
他正試圖搬動(dòng)那個(gè)書(shū)架。
(2)嘗試，試用;試驗：
She's trying her new car.
她正在試她的新車(chē)。
I'll try that Italian restaurant next time.
