英語(yǔ)筆譯童話(huà)故事
從前，有兩只老鼠，它們是好朋友。城里有好多好吃的，可是鄉下老鼠卻不愿意在那里生活，為什么呢?看看下面的英語(yǔ)童話(huà)你就知道了。
英語(yǔ)筆譯童話(huà)故事：The City Mouse and the Country Mouse
Once there were two mice. They were friends. One mouse lived in the country; the other mouse lived in the city. After many years the Country mouse saw the City mouse; he said, "Do come and see me at my house in the country." So the City mouse went. The City mouse said, "This food is not good, and your house is not good. Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should come and live in the city. You would live in a nice house made of stone. You would have nice food to eat. You must come and see me at my house in the city."
The Country mouse went to the house of the City mouse. It was a very good house. Nice food was set ready for them to eat. But just as they began to eat they heard a great noise. The City mouse cried, " Run! Run! The cat is coming!" They ran away quickly and hid.
After some time they came out. When they came out, the Country mouse said, "I do not like living in the city. I like living in my hole in the field. For it is nicer to be poor and happy, than to be rich and afraid."

城里老鼠和鄉下老鼠
從前，有兩只老鼠，它們是好朋友。一只老鼠居住在鄉村，另一只住在城里。很多年以后，鄉下老鼠碰到城里老鼠，它說(shuō)：“你一定要來(lái)我鄉下的家看看。”于是，城里老鼠就去了。鄉下老鼠領(lǐng)著(zhù)它到了一塊田地上它自己的家里。它把所有最精美食物都找出來(lái)給城里老鼠。城里老鼠說(shuō)：“這東西不好吃，你的家也不好，你為什么住在田野的'地洞里呢?你應該搬到城里去住，你能住上用石頭造的漂亮房子，還會(huì )吃上美味佳肴，你應該到我城里的家看看。”
鄉下老鼠就到城里老鼠的家去。房子十分漂亮，好吃的東西也為他們擺好了�？墒钦斔麄円_(kāi)始吃的時(shí)候，聽(tīng)見(jiàn)很大的一陣響聲，城里的老鼠叫喊起來(lái)：“快跑!快跑!貓來(lái)了!”他們飛快地跑開(kāi)躲藏起來(lái)。
過(guò)了一會(huì )兒，他們出來(lái)了。當他們出來(lái)時(shí)，鄉下老鼠說(shuō)：“我不喜歡住在城里，我喜歡住在田野我的洞里。因為這樣雖然貧窮但是快樂(lè )自在，比起雖然富有卻要過(guò)著(zhù)提心吊膽的生活來(lái)說(shuō)，要好些。”

In spring， the mother pig took the little pig LuLu to the foot of the mountain。 They planted some watermelon。
When summer came， there were many big round watermelons in the field。
One day， the sun was burning like a fire， it was terribly hot on the ground。 The mother pig said to the little pig：“Lulu， go to the field to pick a watermelon back，ok?” Lulu said happily：“Ok! No problem。”
Then he ran to the watermelon field。 When he got to the field， he was happy to find so many big green watermelons。 He chose one of the biggest watermelon and picked it from the vine。 Then he held it with his hands trying to lift is on his shoulder to carry it home。
“Wow!It‘s so heavy!” Lulu tried several times， but he failed。 And he was socked with sweat。 He wiped his sweat off and decided to have a rest。
Suddenly he saw the monkey Pipi。 He was playing with a hoop。 Lulu patted his head and said：“I‘ve got it。” He thought，the round hoop can roll， the watermelon round too，then it can roll too.He then put the big melon on the ground and rolled it forward quickly。
At last he got home with the watermelon.The mother pig knew the story， she exclaimed：“My child， you‘re really clever!”
【譯文】
小豬搬西瓜
春天的時(shí)候，豬媽媽帶著(zhù)小豬嚕嚕，在山坡下種了一大片西瓜。到了夏天，西瓜地里結滿(mǎn)了又圓又大的西瓜。
有一天，太陽(yáng)光火辣辣地照著(zhù)大地，天啊，可熱了。豬媽媽對小豬說(shuō)：“嚕嚕，你到咱們的地里摘個(gè)大西瓜回來(lái)解解渴吧!”小豬嚕嚕高興地說(shuō)：“好吧!”說(shuō)完就往西瓜地里跑。到了地里一看。呵，到處躺著(zhù)大西瓜，水靈靈的，真惹人喜愛(ài)!嚕嚕挑了個(gè)最大的摘了下來(lái)。它雙手摟著(zhù)西瓜，想抱起來(lái)放在肩上扛回家。“喲，好重呀!”嚕嚕試著(zhù)抱了幾次都沒(méi)有抱起來(lái)，還累得滿(mǎn)頭大汗。 它直起身來(lái)，擦了擦臉上的汗水想休息一下，再去試試抱西瓜。突然，它看到小猴皮皮在山下邊的馬路上滾鐵環(huán)玩呢。小豬嚕嚕一拍后腦勺高興地說(shuō)：“有了，我有辦法了。”什么辦法呢?小豬嚕嚕心想：鐵環(huán)是圓的`，可以滾動(dòng)。西瓜也是圓的，不也可以滾動(dòng)嗎?想到這兒啊，小豬嚕嚕顧不上休息，把大西瓜放在地上。咕嚕嚕，咕嚕嚕地向前滾，一直把西瓜滾到家里。
