關(guān)于英語(yǔ)數字的聽(tīng)力技巧

　　培養自己的耳朵對英文數字保持敏感是聽(tīng)力訓練中一項必不可少的基本功。那么怎樣才能快捷有效地掌握這一技能呢?我們應從掌握數字的正確讀法開(kāi)始。

　　▌基數詞的讀法

　　202讀作：two hundred(and)two

　　234讀作：two hundred(and)thirty four

　　1，234讀作：one thousand，two hundred(and)thirty four

　　但是在讀法上須注意以下幾點(diǎn)：

　　在英式英語(yǔ)中，一個(gè)數的最后兩位(十位和個(gè)位)得用"and''，但美式英語(yǔ)中則不用。如：

　　3，077 U.S：three thousand， seventy-seven.

　　不定冠詞"a"只在數的開(kāi)頭才和hundred，thousand等連用。試比較：

　　146讀作：a hundred(and)forty-six

　　2，146讀作：two thousand，one hundred(and)forty-six

　　1，000這個(gè)整數我們說(shuō)a thousand，在and前我們也說(shuō)a thousand，但是在一個(gè)有百位數的數目前就得說(shuō)one thousand試比較：

　　1,031讀作：a thousand，(and)thirty-one

　　1,150讀作：one thousand，one hundred(and)fifty

　　hundred，thousand和million這幾個(gè)詞的單數可以和"a"者"one"連用，但是不能單獨使用。在非正式文體中"a"比較常見(jiàn);當我們說(shuō)話(huà)比較準確的時(shí)候就用"one"試比較：

　　I Want to live for a hundred years.The journey took exactly one hundred days.

　　我們常常說(shuō)eleven hundred(1，100)，twelve hundred(1,200)等，而不說(shuō)one thous and one hundred.從1，100到1,900之間的整數，這種說(shuō)法最常見(jiàn)。

　　11，234讀作：eleven thousand two hundred(and)，thirty-four

　　155,721讀作：one hundred(and)fifly-five thous and seven hundred(and)twenty-one

　　6，155，702讀作：six million one hundred(and)fifly-five thous and seven hundred and two

　　26，000，008讀作：twenty-six million and eight

　　326，414，718讀作：three hundred(and)twenty-six million，four hundred(and)four teen thous and，seven hundred(and)eighteen

　　4，302，000，000讀作：four billion three hundred(and)two million

　　由以上一組數字可以看出，多位數由右向左每3位有一逗號，這個(gè)逗號的作用非同小可，在記憶數字時(shí)，它可以幫我們很大的忙!

　　逆向第一個(gè)逗號讀thousand;向左再推三位，第二個(gè)逗號讀million;第三個(gè)逗號讀billion;第四個(gè)逗號就是 trillion。這幾個(gè)逗號的作用在于，當我們聽(tīng)到若干thousand時(shí)，立即寫(xiě)下這個(gè)數，并在其后打一個(gè)逗號，并留出3位;當聽(tīng)到若干 million，則寫(xiě)下數字，并在其后打一逗號，留出6位;聽(tīng)到若干billion，方法同上，在后面留出9位，后面的million、thousand 依此法類(lèi)推，讓所有數字各就其位。

　　例如，當你聽(tīng)到"twenty thous and and four"寫(xiě)出20，"and four"意為后一組僅有個(gè)位，即：004，那么，這個(gè)數字完整地寫(xiě)下來(lái)就是20，004;若聽(tīng)到"six million twenty thousand four hundred and twenty-three，"則第一步先寫(xiě)：6，020，再將最后一組423寫(xiě)在第一個(gè)逗號后面。完整的翠字為6，020，423。由此可見(jiàn)這個(gè)三位一逗號的作用有多大。只要我們在平時(shí)的訓練中加強對三位數讀寫(xiě)的訓練，就能區分"ty"與"teen''，并能借助這個(gè)不可缺少的"逗號"，無(wú)論數字多么大，也不會(huì )對我們造成障礙。

　　▌序數詞的讀法

　　lst讀作：(the)first2nd讀作：(the)second3nd讀作：(the)third4th讀作： (the)fourth20th讀作：(the)twentieth21st讀作：(the)twenty-first22nd讀作： (the)twenty-second23rd讀作：(the)twenty-third其它以此類(lèi)推。

　　▌小數含小數點(diǎn)的數字，小數點(diǎn)"."讀"point"，小數點(diǎn)后的數若是兩位以上，則分別讀出。

　　0.5讀作：zero point five0.25讀作：zerop point two five0.125讀作;zero point one two five93，64m讀作：ninety-three point six four meters2'15.11''讀作：two minutes fifteen point one one seconds

　　▌年代及日期的讀法數字表示的年份通常分成兩半來(lái)說(shuō)：

　　2000B.C.讀作：two thousand BC1558讀作：fifteen fifty-eight1603讀作：six teen(hundred and)three/sixteen oh three921讀作：nine twenty-one

　　日期的表達英式和美式有所不同，請注意區別：英式先寫(xiě)日子，美式先寫(xiě)月份

　　英：1999年4月6日=6th April l999美：1999年4月6日=April 6，1999在讀法上，英國人有兩種表達方式：

　　April the sixth，nineteen ninety-nineThe sixth of April，nineteen ninety-nine

　　美國人則一般這樣表示：

　　April sixth，nineteen ninety-nine(省略"the")

　　▌鐘點(diǎn)的讀法鐘點(diǎn)的讀法分英式和美式兩種，我們應對此加以注意。英：

　　7：00 seven o'clock a.m./p.m.8：15 a quarter past eight/eight fifteen9：30 half past nine/nine thirty9：45 a quarter to ten/nine forty-five10：03 three(minutes)past ten/ten oh three美用法基本相似，只是英國用past之處，美國通常用after;英國用to之處，美國常用of。

　　5：15 a quarter after five/five fifteen9：30 nine thirty/half past nine9：45 a quarter of ten/nine forty-five9：55 five of ten/nine fifty-five
