The name Christmas is short for "Christ's Mass". A Mass is a kind of Church service. Christmas is a religious festival. It is the day we celebrate as the birthday of Jesus.

In the western countries, in spite of christmas is the biggest festival in new year, people still have an important position. for the new year's eve party is essential to celebrate new year arrives. western countries people like in the gay music and brilliant like the happy to spend a year of the last night. the fancy dress party particularly welcome. the guests to the dignity and hid in a strange mask, dressed and at ease. everyone laughed,And always act sharply. the two countries. midnight bells, the party of people have joined hands in singing of "auld lang syne" the famous piece of scots song.
