一、 教材分析
(1) 教學(xué)內容：本課是一堂英語(yǔ)閱讀課，文章介紹了有關(guān)生肖和個(gè)性特征的知識。通過(guò)本節課的閱讀教學(xué)，使學(xué)生從閱讀中獲取相關(guān)的關(guān)于生肖的信息，讓學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì )對信息的處理和加工，提高學(xué)生的綜合語(yǔ)言運用能力。
(2)①知識目標：;了解生肖的知識，增加詞匯量。
�、谀芰δ繕耍号囵B學(xué)生聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀和寫(xiě)的能力，尤其是閱讀方面的技巧。通過(guò)運用多媒體，培養學(xué)生英語(yǔ)口頭表達能力，分析問(wèn)題和解決問(wèn)題的能力。鍛煉學(xué)生用英語(yǔ)描述自己的個(gè)性。

(3) 教學(xué)重點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn); 掌握重要的單詞和短語(yǔ)，充分利于關(guān)鍵詞復述課文。訓練學(xué)生的fast reading、careful reading等閱讀技能。
(4) 教學(xué)方法：?jiǎn)?wèn)答式、演示法、任務(wù)型閱讀、競賽法。

step 1: 讀前和熱身(pre---reading and warm up)
by asking students the following questions, the teacher can raise students′ interest in this topic.

為了激起學(xué)生閱讀的興趣，給出三個(gè)問(wèn)題，讓他們來(lái)回答。既引出了話(huà)題，也可練習學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)和用英語(yǔ)發(fā)言的勇氣于膽量。
step 2:導入 (leading in)
what do you know about the animal sign?
what decides your animal sign?
what are the 12 animal signs?

通過(guò)多媒體展示12生肖的圖片，初步熟悉生肖的英文名稱(chēng)，讓學(xué)生從另一個(gè)角度來(lái)認識生肖，圖片和英文名稱(chēng)給學(xué)生帶來(lái)耳目一新的感受，從而進(jìn)一步引導學(xué)生的欣賞能力，提高他們的閱讀興趣。
step 3 讀中和快速閱讀 (while reading and fast reading)
firstly ask some students to read some words on the blackboard. these words have been studied in the last lesson. before students end the text, ask some students to think about what subjects will be covered in the passage. read the passage quickly and answer the following questions.
do people who share the same animal sign have similar characteristics?
does what the animal sign says match your characteristics?

首先讓一些學(xué)生朗讀本課中的單詞，其中有些是生詞，這些在上節課中已經(jīng)領(lǐng)讀過(guò)了，再次讓學(xué)生的讀單詞，既復習了上一堂課的內容，又鍛煉了學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)和膽量。培養了學(xué)生參與閱讀的動(dòng)力，體現了學(xué)生的主體地位。給學(xué)生提出任務(wù)，帶著(zhù)任務(wù)去閱讀，幫助學(xué)生預測話(huà)題，學(xué)生只要泛讀就能回答這些問(wèn)題，因為這些問(wèn)題主要針對文章的主旨大意和比較明顯的細節內容。引導學(xué)生分析問(wèn)題，由淺入深，由感性認識到理性思考，從而降低了閱讀難度，為進(jìn)一步閱讀作好充分的準備.
step 4 精讀 (careful reading)
part one: read the details below and choose which ones are true(t),which ones are false(f).
my father was born in the year of the rat. he should be active and sporty.
my mother was born in the year of the rabbit. she should be kind but quiet.
my aunt was born in the year of the goat. she should always want people to care more about her.
my cousin raymond was born in the year of the snake. he should love telling jokes.
my cousin jane was born in the year of the rooster. she should be good at planning things.
i was born in the year of the horse. i should be loyal and always support friends.
my cousin jim was born in the year of the pig. he should be clever and hard-working.

通過(guò)判斷對錯題，旨在幫助學(xué)生提高他們的發(fā)現特別信息的能力，加深對文章的整體與細節的理解，學(xué)生學(xué)到了這方面的知識，培養了學(xué)生獲取信息和處理信息的能力。
step5: 競賽competition.
divide the students into four groups. let students have a competition.. choose the best group. ask them to describe their friends.

為了改變英語(yǔ)閱讀課堂的緊張而又枯燥的課堂氣氛，我把全班學(xué)生分成四組來(lái)描述他人的特性，即培養了學(xué)生的口頭表達能力，又鍛煉了學(xué)生的團體合作能力，讓學(xué)生體驗和感受集體主義精神。根據學(xué)生的反映，評出最佳小組，給于適當的表?yè)P和鼓勵，同時(shí)也加深了學(xué)生對文章內容的理解。
step 5難點(diǎn)處理(difficult points)
write some difficult and new words on the blackboard. ask students not to refer to the dictionary or ask me for an explanation every time they come across a new word. .encourage them to guess the meaning from the context..

由于本課教學(xué)任務(wù)主要是培養學(xué)生的閱讀技巧，文章中瑣碎的語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)我安排在下一課時(shí)。文中的新單詞和比較難理解的詞匯，我并沒(méi)要求學(xué)生查字典，也沒(méi)有直接說(shuō)出他們的漢語(yǔ)意思。而是鼓勵學(xué)生根據課文中的具體語(yǔ)境來(lái)猜測詞的含義。特別要注意該詞所在的前后句子。
step 6 讀后( post reading)：discussion
讓學(xué)生聯(lián)系自己分組討論星座、生肖和人的性格的相關(guān)話(huà)題。然后每組挑選一名代表描述自己。
try not to focus on their mistakes, as this will discourage students from speaking in front of the class.

組織學(xué)生根據文章內容或者他們能找到的生肖和星座關(guān)于性格的資料，在課堂上分成小組進(jìn)行討論。學(xué)生是討論的主體，我給予適當的鼓勵，一定不要專(zhuān)注與學(xué)生的錯誤，因為他們可能喪失在課堂上發(fā)言的勇氣和信心。這側重與訓練學(xué)生的開(kāi)口說(shuō)的技能。
step 7 布置作業(yè)(homework)
