論《史記》中程度副詞“頗”
摘 要：程度副詞“頗”始見(jiàn)于《史記》。關(guān)于它的語(yǔ)義，1直存在著(zhù)兩可的理解，認為既可表示程度深，也可表示程度淺。本文認為，1種語(yǔ)言形式，在產(chǎn)生之初就表示截然相反的兩種語(yǔ)義，是不可能。文章收集并分析了《史記》中全部“頗”的用法，并參考了魏晉時(shí)期的工具書(shū)和唐人對《史記》《漢書(shū)》和《昭明文選》的注釋?zhuān)鞔_提出，至少在唐代以前，“頗”只有表示程度淺1種語(yǔ)義。

Abstract: "Po" as an adverb of degree first appears in Records of Historian of the HanDynasty. There is always adual explaination for the semantic meaning of "Po" thatdenotes either a greater degree or a less degree. It ishardly possible, however, that a new word can get just twoopposite meaning as it appears. With the collection andanalysis of all and every usage of "Po" in Records of theHistorian, reference made to the books related to it in Wei,Jin Dynasties and explanatory notes on Records of theHistorian, Chronicles of the Han Dynasty, and Zhao mingsLiterary Selections by people of Tang Dynasty, the authordraws such clear-cut judgment as follows: at least beforeTang Dynasty "Po" had indicaled only a single sematic meaningof a less degree.
